Urgell's Canal
A good option for walks is the itinerary of Ponts and Mig Segre, which belongs to the routes of the Condes de Urgell and goes through various villages. Each village offers an interesting variety of options and the walk is perfect for those people who want to know better the area and admire: their millenary trees, the variety of little villages, Chalets and houses around the Rialb River, and specially, its natural areas.
The itineraries include the visit to different villages like Tiurana, Oliola, Vilanova de l'Aguda, Cabanabona, etc. The most interesting is, perhaps, the romanesque route of the Middle Segre (Sant Pere de Ponts, Sant Tirs d'Oliola, Santa Maria de Vilamajor, Santa María de Ribelles and the benedictine monastery of Santa María de Gualter). Also there are many routes for excursionism; this big net of tracks can be also used by the fans of the BTT bicycles.
